AITRICS selected as the finalist of the UAE TIP program

2020-02-10

AITRICS was nominated as the finalist of the '2020 TIP Summit.' This program is hosted by the UAE Ministry of Economy and Abu Dhabi's Ministry of Economic Development as part of the United Arab Emirates' national innovation strategy. It aims to develop a startup ecosystem that can solve major challenges globally by discovering companies that lead innovation across various industrial sectors.

The Abu Dhabi government selected the top 12 most innovative companies in each field and invited them to Abu Dhabi. Companies recognized for their technical talents participated in the TIP Summit held at New York University Abu Dhabi from February 3-5 and received benefits such as an accelerating program, supporting corporate promotion booths, and meetings with key government officials.

AITRICS provides more accurate and reliable results by overcoming the shortcomings of existing AI technology, and its technology is recognized in various international AI/ML conferences. In this competition, AITRICS was selected as a finalist in the healthcare sector by introducing 'VitalCare' and 'RiskCare', medical AI solutions developed using its own machine learning technology.

Global Business Manager of AITRICS Younji Yoo said “Although a high proportion of patients who have been taken to ICU in UAE hospitals are often at risk from sepsis, most cases are still diagnosed with classical methods such as MEWS. This is not a problem confined to one country, so we hope that 'VitalCare,' a sepsis prediction solution, will be more widely used to help.”

Business Manager of AITRICS Jinhee Kim, who led the project, said “As a result of analyzing the market in various aspects, it was found that chronic and acute diseases due to cultural aspects and lifestyles are increasing, compared to the lack of specialized medical environment in Middle East countries. AITRICS was convinced that there would be a need for our solutions equipped with accurate AI algorithms. We hope to use this opportunity as a springboard to promote Korean startups' superior AI technology in the Middle East. We continuously pursue the company's success with a strategic approach.”
