[October 23, 2026] AITRICS, a medical artificial intelligence (AI) company, announced on October 23 that it has been selected as a consortium participant in Seoul AI Hub's 2026 AI Transformation (AX) Support Program.
The program aims to apply innovative AX technologies to the industrial sites of small and medium-sized enterprises and mid-sized companies, helping them build in-house technology development capabilities and grow into leading firms in strategic technologies.
Through the program, AITRICS will develop an AX platform for large language model (LLM)-based clinical record automation and hospital workflow improvement. The platform is designed to use AI to support the repetitive documentation and information-checking tasks that arise in real clinical settings, reducing the workload of medical staff and improving hospital operational efficiency.
To this end, AITRICS has formed a consortium with Kangbuk Samsung Hospital and will pursue AX technology development and validation that reflect real-world working environments and requirements. Kangbuk Samsung Hospital will define the target tasks based on repetitive work in outpatient and nursing settings, and help specify the functions and review criteria required from the perspectives of physicians and nurses.
The key development tasks are ▲enhancing medical records generated during outpatient visits ▲summarizing the progress described in imaging reports such as CT and MRI ▲speech-to-text (STT) transcription and summarization of voice data generated during nursing handover.
In outpatient care, AI will automatically summarize extensive medical information, such as a patient's past diagnoses and medication history, so that clinicians can grasp key clinical information more quickly. In imaging, AI will summarize CT and MRI reports accumulated over multiple examinations, allowing clinicians to review a patient's record at a glance. In nursing handover, AI will automatically transcribe and summarize spoken content, reducing the time spent writing nursing records.
AITRICS plans to develop a platform that analyzes and summarizes medical data generated across a range of hospital processes and delivers the necessary information at the right time. Physicians and nurses at Kangbuk Samsung Hospital will take part in real-use evaluation and clinical suitability review during development, and will discuss directions for improving functionality together with AITRICS. Through this validation, the two organizations aim to enhance the usability and technical maturity of the platform in clinical practice, and to lay the groundwork for extending AX adoption to a wider range of medical institutions.
Kwangjoon Kim, CEO of AITRICS, said, "Through this program, we will develop AI transformation technologies centered on the tasks that are truly needed in clinical practice, and build an AX platform that can be applied directly to hospital operations. We will connect AI technologies, including LLMs, to greater efficiency for medical staff and innovation in hospital operations, accelerating digital transformation in healthcare."
