AITRICS (CEO Kwang joon Kim), a company specializing in artificial intelligence (AI) technology announced on the 2nd that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Korea University Anam Hospital (Director Han Seung-beom) to collaborate on medical AI technology.
Through this agreement, both parties agreed to: ▲ conduct clinical research and academic/national projects utilizing AITRICS' AI solutions ▲ collaborate on research for developing biosignal analysis AI technology and monitoring systems ▲ co-author research papers and file for patents ▲ cooperate in technology exchange, information sharing, and joint utilization of facilities and equipment.
AITRICS specializes in biosignal-based medical AI and has developed the patient deterioration prediction AI solution, AITRICS-VC (VitalCare), which early predicts risks of conditions such as sepsis, cardiac arrest, and mortality. This software enhances both patient treatment possibilities and medical staff efficiency, garnering attention in the domestic and global medical AI markets.
The collaboration aims to combine AITRICS' advanced medical AI capabilities with Korea University Anam Hospital's clinical research expertise and patient data, striving for high-quality research outcomes. Additionally, both parties plan to contribute to improving domestic healthcare services based on their combined human resources.
CEO Kwang-joon Kim expressed, "Collaborating with Korea University Anam Hospital, which possesses the best clinical research capabilities in the country, is expected to yield significant synergy for product enhancement and research development. We will secure a leading position in the biosignal-based medical AI field." He added, "AITRICS will continue to work with leading hospitals to contribute to the advancement of domestic medical technology."
President of Korea University Anam Hospital Dr.Seung beom Han said, "We expect excellent results from combining AITRICS' technology with the high-quality data and research experience of Anam Hospital. The implementation of AI solutions in our hospital will help timely detect patient deterioration."
