AITRICS, a medical AI company, announced on the 17th that it successfully hosted the 2024 AITRICS Leaders Summit on December 14 at Signiel Busan. The event was held to share insights on the application of artificial intelligence in healthcare with medical professionals from Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam.
With the theme "Improving Patient Management and Treatment Efficiency Through Medical AI and Rapid Response Systems(RRS)", AITRICS organized the symposium to share the latest advancements and guidelines while fostering communication among medical professionals.
The event featured presentations on various topics, including: ▲Experiences and transformations in using AI software within Rapid Response Systems ▲2024 national guidelines for early treatment of adult sepsis ▲Challenges and strategies for operating Rapid Response Systems
The symposium was chaired by Professor Ho-Cheol Kim(Pulmonology, Allergy, and Critical Care Medicine, Gyeongsang National University Changwon Hospital), Professor Jong Joon Ahn (Pulmonology, Ulsan University Hospital), and Professor Yeon-Joo Lee(Pulmonology, Seoul National University Bundang Hospital). Presentations were delivered by five medical professionals associated with Rapid Response Systems in Korea.
In the first session, real-world use cases of AITRICS-VC(VitalCare), the company’s AI solution for predicting patient deterioration, were introduced. The session included discussions on the changes observed in clinical settings following the adoption of AI.
The second session focused on strategies for the successful operation and maintenance of Rapid Response Systems and innovations aimed at improving the quality of patient care, including early treatment strategies for adult sepsis.
The final session featured an in-depth panel discussion on the efficient operation of Rapid Response Systems and associated challenges. Medical professionals from various Rapid Response Teams across the country participated, engaging in meaningful discussions on the current state of system operations and the future development of medical AI solutions.
AITRICS-VC is a medical AI software that leverages EMR(Electronic Medical Records) data to predict the risks of sepsis, cardiac arrest, and mortality for patients in general wards and intensive care units. It is currently implemented in over 70 hospitals across Korea, playing a crucial role in enhancing patient management efficiency in clinical settings.
Professor Jong Joon Ahn from Ulsan University Hospital remarked, “This symposium provided valuable insights into how medical AI solutions can be effectively applied in clinical settings, based on practical experiences and case studies of Rapid Response System operations. I look forward to more opportunities for knowledge-sharing that directly benefits medical professionals.”
Kwang-Joon Kim, CEO of AITRICS, commented, “The Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam regions are leading areas in the field of medical AI, and this symposium highlighted the clinical utility and value of AITRICS-VC once again. We will continue to enhance medical professionals’ understanding of AI solutions and provide opportunities to improve patient management and treatment efficiency through these advancements.”
